LEAVE NO TRACE MASTER EDUCATOR'S (STOCK) CLASS MAY 2009

BCHNG President Melinda Towe and I were privileged to attend the LEAVE NO TRACE Master Educator's (Stock) Class sponsored by BCH of America at Ninemile Remount Station in Huson, Montana recently.  Our class consisted of BCH Members and, now our friends, from Alaska, Missouri, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, Colorado, North Carolina and fellow Georgians.
Our teachers and mentors were Bob Hoverson, Smoke Elser, Bob Wagner and Colleen Sloan.

We spent 5 days in class, three of which were up on the mountain above the Nine Mile Wildlands Training Center, where we camped and used wall tents for classrooms. We had demonstrations outside whenever it wasn't raining, sleeting or snowing (which happened every single day)!

Melinda and I plan to offer "Awareness Workshops" and begin our
"Teach the Teachers" LNT Courses in the near future.

We learned many things and I feel it has given me insight and changed my ideas and attitude about our resources and what is the proper way to take care of them for future generations.

I hope you enjoy a few of the pictures we took during our week in Montana.

If you are interested in signing up for one of our Leave No Trace "Train the Trainer's" weekend classes, please feel free to contact either Melinda Towe or myself.
