Equestrians in North Georgia need a voice!  Back Country Horsemen of North Georgia is that voice, a strong legislative voice to speak for North Georgia's trail riders.

We are an exciting organization that is uniting ALL horse & mule riders, packstock users and anyone concerned about our right to use our forests and state lands.

One of our privileges as free America
ns is to be active in the decisions that affect our lives.  If you enjoy riding your horses or mules in the North Georgia mountains and treasure the right to do so, you need to become a member of the Back Country Horsemen of North Georgia.  If we ALL unite, our voices WILL be heard.  Be a part of a National Organization that stands up for your right to use our back country.  Your involvement is important!

We need motivated people to assist us.  If you want to protect your historical "Right to Ride" in the Chattahoochee National Forest , please contact us and join our organization.  Your support and membership is needed.

OUR MISSION

  • To perpetuate the common sense use and enjoyment of horses in America's back country and wilderness lands.

  • To work to insure that public lands remain open to recreational stock use.

  • To assist the various government and private agencies in the maintenance and management of said resource.

  • To educate, encourage and solicit active participation in the wise use of the backcountry resource by horsemen and the general public commensurate with our heritage.

  • To foster and encourage the formation of new state Backcountry Horsemen organizations.
